\"Conditionals and reported speech\" was a difficult unit to digest. The rules for changing tenses while reporting speech back are difficult to memorise. As a native speaker, it is worrying if I am having trouble understanding this, as my students must be feeling even worse.
Practice seems to be key here, as opposed to learning a table by heart. It is very interesting and helpful to have this unit as a go-to point of reference for when I am struggling to give students the reasons and rules for changing the tenses during these times.In this unit I learnt about books and Materials. Here I learnt about authentic and created materials. Usage of both the materials are important in our daily life while teaching to kids. Common created materials are crosswords, word search puzzles, Role Play cards and flashcards etc. Course books consists of a set of materials like students book, workbook, cassettes, teachers book etc. There are numerous advantages and disadvantages of using course books. Four different options for course book use are omit, replace, supplement, adapt.
