This unit was a good revision/new lesson of past grammatical ideas and concepts. I found it both helpful and interesting to relearn some of these concepts with a new twist to them. Some of the things I have learnt from this unit include: passive voice, phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action, rather than who or what is performing the action. eg. My bike was stolen. The focus was on the point that the bike was stolen, who did the stealing is unknown. Phrasal verbs are are two word phrases that give a specific meaning,. eg. ask out, would be to invite out on a Date. Lastly, Relative clauses need to be attached to a main clause, because it does not express a full thought/idea on its own. Overall a very good unit!
