This unit looks at the different types of classes one my be required to teach according to different language and age levels.The unit gives advice for teaching beginners and young learners and the problems that may be encountered when teaching either one. It also discusses various activities that can be effective when teaching individuals. The unit then goes on to talk about teaching business english and outlines the various types of clients one may encounter and the importance of determining the clients language needs, as well as how to plan and prepare an appropriate course.The unit concludes by looking at the differences and pros and cons between multilingual and monolingual classes.From this unit learned tips on teaching different types of students whether they be individuals children or grown-ups, and how I also learned some ways to help overcome some of the common problems that can arise in the classroom. Additionally I gained new knowledge on how to assess the needs of students and how to then plan and prepare an appropriate course/class.
