This Unit talks about teachers and learners. Which qualities need to have a good teacher? Apart from the hundreds of qualities anyone can tell. There are two of them that stand out from the rest: the care about his/her teaching and the care about the learning of the students. A good teacher also needs to know how to switch from one role to another depending on the activity (manager, organizer, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model or observer).These are different factors that affect learner´s attitude: age, learning experience, motivation, nervousness, language, awareness, behavior problems, life experience, culture and first language and language level. A good learner should have a willingness to ask, a desire to learn, an acceptance to error correction, a willingness to listen to the language, an ability to think about their own learning and a desire to experiment with the language. There is a statement on this unit “good teachers will most likely have good students†I totally agree with it. There are not bad students; there are teachers that cannot see the students´ necessities.
