Like the previous unit, this one was also very helpful. It explained the difference between speaking and writing very well and the ways it can be taught. We use these productive skills to communicate and the teacher must create an environment where there is a need and desire for students to use these skills. Writing is often the most neglected skill and is also difficult, requiring a greater ability. Speaking requires a degree of fluency. Both these terms were explained with examples. Accuracy and fluency are both equally important and both come in different stages of a lesson. Students should alwas be encouraged to do both. Games were also introduced in this unit as an element of fun in the lesson. Games are popular with students of all levels. Thank you for the links to game ideas. Thank you.
