This unit sets forth the varied roles of a good teacher and the various factors that impact student learning. It also describes the levels of study in tesol. This unit covered the different roles that the teacher plays in a classroom. It described the roles and elaborated on all the different aspects of being a good/effective teacher.
The unit also covered information about the students, the different levels of learning the English language and the differences between teaching adults and children. In this unit I have learned the roles as well as characteristics of both teachers and students. Knowing the roles of a teacher in the classroom is important because each role has its purpose for the teacher in assessing a classroom or student situation and how to adapt future lesson plans to better instruct the class.
