Throughout this unit I learned about the basics of the different parts of speech. By learning these basics I have a new level of understanding when it comes to creating sentences and understanding the pieces of sentences. I learned about different types of nouns, uncountable and countable and how adjectives can help describe these nouns. I learned about the four different types of verbs, transitive, intransitive, auxiliary and infinitive. I also learned that adverbs help describe these verbs in order to create more meaning. I learned about the different types of articles, the importance of prepositions and a new word I have not heard of Before, gerunds. All of these are the different ingredients (plus more) to create quality sentences for speaking.
