Unit 13 explains phonology and pronunciation and the difficulties english teachers have incorporating it into lesson plans. I learned how intonation and stress are vital parts in proper pronunciation. It was helpful seeing guidelines for concepts that come naturally as a native English speaker. The unit then introduces the phonemic alphabet. I can see how these phonetic symbols would be beneficial in explaining pronunciation to non-native speakers. The unit concludes by explaining the physical formation of sounds and how to incorporate these concepts into pronunciation lessons.
