This unit is talks about the differences of the teacher and the learner and the qualities that they possess. It also covers the differences between younger learners and adults and the different levels of language ability. This unit also covers what reasons students have to be motivated to learn the language.
I have learnt what qualities a good teacher should possess as well as a good learner. Reading through the text i think about the qualities in myself that will make me a good teacher and that i may need to work on. Learning the different skill sets and differences you can expect between adult and younger learners as well as what motivates them in a class room will come in handy when getting into teaching around world or even at home and already has me thinking of the different ways i could use the learners motivation. The unit has also given me an idea of what to expect when teaching different ages and what ages you may want to teach.
