What I have learned from this course is very important. One thing in particular is that of not yelling at students if their behavior is unruly. As a teacher, I have it a rule as to never yell in class however in one instance I had to and felt as if it were necessary. I had a student who I initially tried to reason with. After many warnings for him being disrespectful, I reprimanded him in class and had to remove him for the remainder of the lesson. Although, I consider yelling as a last resort, I do think on some very rare occasions it can be necessary. I do however agree that to yell all the time in not an effective way in which to implement discipline. I believe reason can go a long way in this case, and to talk to them after class and in confidence can work effectively as well.
