This section analyses the four present tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. The analysis includes discussions of how the tenses are formed, including interrogative and negative variations; various usages of these tenses; typical mistakes English language learners make in trying to use these tenses, and a variety of techniques for teaching students or offering them opportunities to practice these tenses. I found many of the techniques presented to be quite valuable.
