This unit was about managing a class. This was one of my favorite lessons so far and it had a lot of great information on practical ways a classroom setting can be used effectively for teaching. There was information on various ways that seating can be arranged (and how each one may affect the \"feeling\" of the classroom.) Further, it covered good ways to maintain discipline or deal with problems that may arise as well as handling individual student needs and attention. The part I enjoyed most was on handling teacher talk time and student talk time, which made me realize that, unlike many class activities that we may remember from our own school days a heavier focus on student interaction, rather than teacher lecture is going to be more appropriate.
