This unit covers eight of the nine basic parts of speech. (Nouns, verbs, articles, prepositions, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions and gerunds. Interjections were not mentioned). Each of the parts of speech discussed are then further divided into subsections, such as transitive/intransitive verbs, definite/indefinite articles, etc.) Unit 2 provides a good general overview for English speakers who may not have recently studied the parts of speech, particularly native speakers.
