This unit covered the basic parts of speech. These parts are the base of the English language and are very important to our understanding of English. As a native English speaker we do not generally think about these things when we speak or write, so it can be difficult to teach all the rules. There are many exceptions to rules of speech which can make it difficult for students to understand how to deal with exceptions. Using different games can help students help each other on how to properly use and identify the different parts of speech.
