This unit has presented a basic foundation of the various parts of speech. While it did not cover the whole grammatical system, it provided a good overview of the basics starting from structuring a basic sentence, word order, explaining the difference between adjectives, and adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions etc. The unit also pointed out various exceptions to the rules which simply have to be studied by heart by the students. I particularly found it helpful to have a few grammar lesson games suggested. For example, putting the whole class against a wall and marking their heights in order to explain comparisons and superlatives seems like a great idea.
