This unit covered phonetics. It began by discussing intonation and who to teach natural intonation. It then covered stress. In this area it discussed which syllables are stressed as well as teaching methods regarding stress. Sound joining and linking was also discussed in this section. The lesson then went on to phonemic symbols and articulation. After the various types of articulation was explained, teaching techniques were introduced.
