This unit gave a good overview of the two primary parties and their characteristics - teacher and student. I found the different roles that a teacher can take quite interesting as I'd never really thought of applying such a wide range of different methods at different stages of the students learning This unit focused on the characteristics and qualities of a good teacher and a good learner. It also broke down the student's skill level across several levels, with an explanation of the composite skills the students in those levels exhibit. This was more of a descriptive lesson than a prescriptive lesson on teaching. This course was very helpful in terms of starting tefl. I never have learned different language levels of ability. Now, I have gained some confidence in understanding students in different English levels and I will try to assist them in many different ways.
