This unit covers assessments and testing in relation to learning English as a foreign language. Tests covered include practice tests, external tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, and placement tests. External tests are broken into several more types of tests, such as toefl, IELTS, and TOEIC as well as the different types of Cambridge Assessments that are given to English Language learners. This chapter taught me the differences in the types of tests given to students of English. I also learned the differences in the tests administered through Cambridge Assessments.
