Unit 9 teaches the essential elements of a lesson plan. It gives the ways a lesson plan can be useful--especially to less experienced teachers--and then goes about discussing what should be included in a lesson plan. The example lesson plans were very helpful and will be something that I hold onto for a reference until I'm able to gain confidence in my abilities to properly structure a lesson. I really liked the idea of using the lesson plans as a record of what has already been taught & which materials have been used. I can see this being an invaluable tool in future classes as a teacher determines how to pace a class & to aid in determining what was effective.
