The content of the unit No 5 is about Classroom Management. It goes into detailed skills of organizing and managing the class, having friendly relaxed manner and maintain discipline. However, for the class to be capable of learning effectively the teacher must be skillful in inspiring confidence among the students. What I have learnt from this unit is how to manage my classroom. Firstly, I must know when to be firm and when to leave the students alone. Secondly, as a teacher I must be flexible and change his or her role according to the activities and the situation without being dominant or leaving the students uncertain. Finally, what I need to have in mind regarding the classroom is there are important facts such as, seating arrangements, grouping students, writing on the whiteboard, giving students instructions, TTT and STT, establish rapport with the students and most important how to maintain classroom discipline. Eventually, I will find my own style of teaching through practice within the classroom, and at the end of the day become better teacher! Xiexie
