This unit focused on the present tense. There are three forms of the present tense: past, present, and future. These forms are divided into four sub forms: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous, creating a total of twelve present tenses. This unit outlined the way form of the tense, and then divided this into the affirmative, negative, and question form of the tenses. This unit also discussed contracted forms, and also gave teaching ideas and methods for teaching present tense. This can be one of the hardest things to teach, and mistakes are common with English language learners.
