From this unit I have learnt that English grammar contains a lot of parts of speech. Every sentence consists of words which have their own places in English grammar. The teacher needs to know and understand all of them. The teacher should know how to explain clearly each part of speech. Each of them has own rules of usage and some of them - exceptions which cannot be understand but only memorized. A good example is a plural form of the word tooth - teeth. Also, irregular verbs may be treated as exceptions: break; broke; broken.
The most difficult part of speech are prepositions as they do not have particular rules of usage and may be a trouble for both students and teachers.
