One of the essential lessons learned in this unit is that teacher-learner relationship is very important and complex. Hence, that a good teacher who is motivated, enthusiastic, sensitive, and caring teacher is more likely to have good and successful students. This unit provided a solid introduction to the dynamics between teachers and learners, especially in the context of ESL classes. It highlighted the most important attributes of the job for which I am pursuing, and this unit successfully conveyed the diversity of potential classroom dynamics based on culture, age, and language level of students. A good teacher and a good learner have in common the following qualities: a respect and rapport for one another; motivation to fulfill their role; and a value of teaching/learning English. What also makes a good teacher is his or her ability to adapt to each learner's level and add to his motivation and learning.
