The unit focused on classroom management. First it discussed the correct use of eye contact, gestures and voice. Then it outlined the different ways to group students. I found that pairwork held the most benefits. Different classroom arrangements were also explained. I really liked the circle/horseshoe arrangement. It seems like a great idea, especially because I'm currently teaching at an academy that has fewer students. The unit also gave useful information on teacher talk time, as well as how to give clear instructions. Lastly great examples were given on establishing rapport with your students and how to manage discipline in the classroom.
