Upon completion of this unit I was better able to appreciate how seemingly simple things like how students are grouped for activities and the teacher's position can affect the learning dynamic. This unit also helped me to understand effective ways of developing a good rapport with the students and how important that rapport is to effective teaching.These are tough concepts to fully understand without putting yourself in the situation and having a conversation. These concepts will most likely be tough for the Study aspect of a lesson, so the Engage phase and Activity phases should be used aggressively. It is fun to play with meaning of sentences based on the modal verb used. They are important!
