Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit I have learnt about the different level testing and which is used for varying groups of young learners. It is important to know how to group students according to their abilities.
The needs analysis is also being highlighted which helps the teacher in addressing the need of students and to design a syllabus that will suit their needs. This unit covered the area of past tenses. It went over various past tenses such as simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. The unit also goes over what common mistakes that students often make. It also gives you sample active activities that you can do with the students. This section does make understanding past tense a little easier.
