It is a difficult process to teach language that is second nature to us but this gives us the tools to help students not only to understand but also to encourage them to practice and use the skills that we are teaching them. It is extremely important to get the most out of a lesson and this can only be achieved by getting the students to participate.Interesting discussion on the use of authentic and created materials. It seems as though students would prefer created materials since they were made for their level. Authentic material would be better for more experienced students. However age and level of English knowledge is probably the guiding factor. I find course books too rigid and confining.
