This unit has really opened my eyes to teaching receptive skills. It’s important that teachers start off with an interesting topic so that the students will be receptive to learning. It’s also important that the teacher teaches the necessary skills so that the students can read through material quickly and still be able to understand it.It was a bit harder than usual. I had to concentrate and think on certain questions, then rethink and answer them. I am very interested in the games and creative speaking. I feel that the children in my classroom can write very well, but are shy and quiet when it comes to speaking. I am teaching in Asia right now and that is a common problem. Thanks
