In this unit I've learnt about teaching new language. It has given me useful tips on how to introduce new vocabulary, grammar and functions to students. In practical examples, it showed me techniques for teaching and how to incorporate them into lesson structures of ESA methodology (Straight Arrow, Boomerang, Patchwork) - engage, study and activate.What I learned from Unit 1 of this course was the five teaching roles. In my experience as a student, I never realized my teacher was actually incorporating these different roles while teaching. The class always began with the Manager role followed by questions & answers. The next day she was the organizer and assessor during our group activities.
