I am glad that I got to know the different techniques to teach a new language. It was very informative as there was a clear structure with lots of different options that I am able to choose from to adjust to different classroom settings. By using these techniques, I am able to fully apply these skills and techniques in to a real classroom setting.The unit talks about determining, gauging and tracking students' English language learning so as to track progress. The unit orients me on the various kinds of tests and their purposes. From this unit I have learnt that evaluation and testing provides the progress-gauging tool for teachers and must thus be an integral part of the teaching process.
