John is currently teaching in Seoul, South Korea in a local school and at his home. John completed the TESOL course with ITTT. John runs all of his own classes and is responsible for creating and choosing the materials for his classes as well as planning the lessons. Unit 6 explains how to teach past tense to ESL students. The unit starts by explaining what past tense is, then it explains the four different forms. In each form it explains the formation of affirmatives, negatives and questions. Then it explains the usage giving examples in each case. Common mistakes are also listed and teaching ideas are given.In this lesson I learned how to establish rapport with students and myself. It is important to because it helps students become more responsible. It is also important because I should also have self control. I also learned that pair work is very important and that there are many ways to involve students in lessons without singling any student out.
