Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit covers everything about equipment and teaching aids, as well as how to use them most appropriately in the classroom. It was a nice overview but I think that the most interesting part for me was all the resources given in the last section, which are most definitely going to come in very handy while preparing for classes when I start teaching.From this unit I have learnt that using the different kinds of material help in different kinds of lessons. Also I have come to note that a course book is generally the best tool to use but in some instances you can only use it as a guideline and use other materials in a lesson so as to suit the students and not make the lesson predictable and boring.
