A great idea to practice this tense is a picture story. Here, the teacher provides the students with various photos or images and the students are asked to piece them together to make a story in the past.

According to this unit, materials can be divided into two groups; authentic and non-authentic materials depending on their origin and purpose. the unit further explains how to choose a course book and it elaborates the advantages and disadvantages of using course books.
