Diagnostic tests are similar to placement tests. They are done before starting a course . Placement tests are to ensure the students are put in the right class level.Progress tests are done during the course to see what student have learned so far and what they must review. Practice tests are done before doing an external exams as a preparation.I found it very interesting that this unit talked about reading and listening. I never realized that these basic things that we don't actually think about need to be broken down and looked at more closely in order to prepare an effective lesson for the class. I'm glad that the lesson did so and also showed the importance and benefit of doing so.
