The state of Florida is a major tourist stronghold with millions of visitor coming to enjoy the state’s beaches, amusement parks, and vibrant cities. In fact, Florida is also the country’s 3rd most populous state and the 8th most densely populated state in America. Florida is most famous for theme parks, orange crops, and the Kennedy Space Center. On top of that, the state is a peninsula bordered by both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic – unique in America. Come to Florida for our TEFL/TESOL in-class training course and you will be able to explore all that the state has to offer after classes and on weekends.
Throughout the state, you will find plenty of exciting natural attractions. Some of the biggest and most visited include Everglades National Park, Bahia Honda, Ocala National Forest and Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. In fact, the Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wilderness in the USA. This park was not created due to unique geographic features, but rather to protect the fragile ecosystem, as the park is home to 36 endangered or protected species, such as the West Indian manatee, the American crocodile or the Florida panther. You can visit the park by walking the trails on foot, or you can choose to visit water preserves by boat to spot dolphin groups or by trams to explore the swamps by tram and see wild crocodiles in their natural habitat.
In Florida, you have the choice between an abundant number of different beaches ranging from bleach-white sands to fall sand dunes. No matter what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed in Florida. However, one location in the state tops them all: the Florida Keys. This unique coral archipelago on the southern tip of Florida is as tropical as it gets in the continental USA. Located only 90 miles from Cuba, the city of Key West is a major tourist destination throughout the year and the main port for cruise ships going to and coming from the Caribbean. Splendid beaches with crystal clear water are not the only things that attract people to the Keys. This area of Florida is the only one of its kind to have a living coral reef. Therefore, the Keys are the excellent place for snorkeling and scuba diving fans.
