The unit covers what is a good teacher and what is a good learner. For a teacher, it covers what are some good qualities of a teacher as well as the roles he or she can take in the classroom. For the student, it covers such things as what are some good qualities of a student as well as the student's motivation. In addition there is a section on dividing the learner's level into categories of proficiency. I have learned more detail about recognizing students levels and where they might need help. I also got more insight into the difference between children and adult learners. I noticed that adults are more concerned about doing it the right way, are more serious, and can be at times a bit more stuck in one particular way or method of learning. I am looking forward to learning more.

This course was very helpful in terms of starting tefl. I never have learned different language levels of ability. I had never thought to categorize how many different roles a teacher can take on, even within the space of one lesson. This unit gives a preview into basic qualities and priciples of good teaching. It shows the qualities of a good teacher and a good learner. It showed me, what are my shortcomings and on the other side it confirmed, what I already knew. It's completely true, that adult learners learn with lot of motivation and it's all the time pleasure to teach them. On the other side, it's nice to teach young beginners, because you can really see the progress, in each new word they learn. Classification of young learners into three subgroups is very good as well. I saw it Before and is true as well that the worst is to teach early teen age, because they are just so unmotivated and unvilling to do anything. I'm looking forward to learn more from your courses, especially about controling the class and motivating youngsters.

I have learnt that being a good teacher it's a very difficult and serious role. It's important to be well prepared on the subject you're teaching, you want to have a 360 degrees knowledge. There is a big difference between teaching to adults and young learners as they have different levels of motivation, learning experience and learning methods, self- consciousness, preparation, etc... Personally,I find it a little confusing so i have given a large amount of my time to study and review the content of this unit. I remain concerned about the differences between american use of the English language and the united kingdom usage. I know that some rules of grammar and punctuation are the same, but may spellings, punctuation, and sentence structure rules and common usage are quite different. This unit is about very basic grammar. It contains an overview of nouns, adjectives, verbs, and all the other kinds of words. It goes into detail about the kind of words and further classifies them, explaining the different kinds of nouns, adjectives, verbs, articles, adverbs, pronouns and prepositions. It also introduced and showed the various verb forms.
