This unit focuses on the two important language skills--reading and listening. I've learned that there are reasons for reading and listening. These categories are divided into two: 1.) for purpose, 2.)for entertainment. My greatest regret in life is that I didn't develop the habit of reading when I was a kid and not a fan of watching movies as well until I had a baby. I can say that my reading and listening skills are way below average. I've noticed a rapid improvement in my target skills since I started reading books to my kid and watching English cartoons with him. Indeed, reading increases my vocabulary a lot and listening does improve my pronunciation. I've also learned some useful techniques and activities, and how to produce an effective lesson plans that focus on receptive skills.
