Unit 4 covered materials that may be used in a business English class. There are two types of materials; authentic and non-authentic. Authentic materials are materials that were not creating for the purpose of using in the classroom. Some examples of authentic materials include: magazines, newspapers, company reports, memos, letters, faxes, and television clips. Non-authentic materials are materials created for classroom use such as; textbooks, flashcards, and worksheets. The unit also explained the need for lesson planing and how to effectively build a lesson plan. The parts of a lesson plan include learner objective, personal aims, anticipated problems for the teacher, and anticipated problems for the students. The unit concluded by providing a useful list of book and internet resources.
