Unit 6 was another great refreshing chapter. After reviewing a previous chapter, Present Tense, understanding the usages of past tense and several teaching activities that would help demonstrate a better understanding of how to use the tense in a sentence, was quite easier to understand. As I was reading one of the tenses, past simple, I thought a great activity that would be quite beneficial to students to better understand that past simple form. Depending on the classroom size, the students will be broken up into groups. The activity would be an English jeopardy game, with the irregular base form verb on the front side of the flashcard and the past simple form on the back end. Students then will guess the past simple form and if answered correctly, the points will be earned to each team.
