This unit introduced more advanced linguistic elements. It presented the conditional structures, their forms, and their usage. It also introduced the concepts of direct and reported speech, as well as how to modify language based on the context of the aforementioned speech. It also gave myriad examples on how to explain and teach these concepts to the learners. In my opinion, this unit taught about very difficult structures. Conditionals and reported speech are structurally reliant on the context of the language being used. The time of reference, the relative probability of a consequence, the audience being spoken to, and the person reporting the speech were all factors in the various structures here. Given that complexity, I was glad to be given good examples of how to teach these things.
