Unit Nine discusses classroom resources that can be used to develop and deliver lessons. Noted in the unit is authentic and created materials. Created materials may include course books or teacher created material. Examples of material that can be developed by a teacher are also provided. The unit provides lists of advantages and disadvantages for using coursebooks or teacher created material. I generally develop lesson material after review of the course book. My classes have large numbers of participants with a wide range of English language skills. So the course books provided don't always provide material to suit all participants. Consequently I use material that is suited and create additional material. I prefer to develop my own material using the course book to outline the curriculum.
