Because I am a native speaker, the way I create and use sentences comes naturally. I don't really think twice about sentence structures and why I use certain words in a certain order. However, by going over this chapter, it goes to show that you can't just \"wing\" the process of teaching fundamental english. There are important rules and structures that we as teachers/instructors, need to understand in order to educate our students to the fullest potential. For example, adjectives aren't necessarily things to describe nouns. There are branches off of adjectives (i.e., comparatives vs. superlatives). Reading over this unit and taking this test has helped understand certain gray areas that are sometimes overlooked as a native speaker (proper nouns, personal pronouns, adverbs of frequency, etc.).
