This unit practically illustrates how teaching techniques, methods and approaches learned in the previous lessons can be effectively applied in a real classroom setting. The attitude and approach of the teacher play an important role in effectively engaging the students for optimal learning results. The lesson has to be structured in a manner that lead students eventually towards the learning goals for the lesson. This can be done through a straight arrow ESA, a boomerang ESA or a patchwork ESA depending on the language level and needs of the students as well as the lesson objective. Every lesson has to be flexible to adapt to the learning needs of the student. Teachers should also build rapport with students such that students feel comfortable for interaction to maximise learning opportunities.
