A well-structured lesson plan can help the flow of the class tremendously. Arriving early to make sure you have all of your materials and the equipment is working properly is very important. As the students arrive to class it is good to talk to them and greet them individually which can help the students to feel more comfortable and participate in the class. The lesson plan does not have to be followed exactly but it is a good structure and can help minimize wasted time. It also shows you a record of your progress with the class and it can be used for the next round of students if needed. It is also important to analyze your own progress and write down key things that you can improve. Having goals written down is always good because it reminds you things you would like to focus on in the future.
