The unit presents the materials on how students' productive skills can be improved. First of all, a teacher should know what productive skills are - speaking and writing. These skills carry equal importance, though whereas speaking skills can be mostly improved in the classroom, tasks for improving writing are mostly done at home as they require more \"quiet\" time to think over. Nonetheless, there are some activities for developing writing skills that can be done in the classroom. The unit also mentions accuracy and fluency - two important aspect of productive skills. Accuracy means correct usage of words or phrases in a certain context, whereas fluency deals with the speed of producing sentences. As both aspects focus on different goal, there are different types of activities for teaching them.
