This unit was probably the most rewarding unit yet as I prepare for my lesson plans. Linking all the previous material together and helping us exercise our ability to assign activities to different phases of a lesson plan about a certain topic (in this case, animal vocabulary and present perfect tense), gave me the chance to identify activities of use and organize a lesson plan around learner and teaching objectives. Often it is easy to find examples of activities, but organizing them into a fluid and yet flexible lesson plan is up to each teacher. Each teachers' lesson plan, given its subjective nature, requires creativity and consistency. I learned about the importance of self-evaluation and monitoring and the unit gave me examples of how I can evaluate the success and failure of a given lesson.
