I find this unit very informative and useful for a teacher - especially an inexperienced one. The two videos clearly demonstrate the huge effects the teacher has on the students in his attitude and behavior towards them, also in how prepared he is for the lesson. I think it's very important for the teacher to come to class well prepared for the lesson. Thinking about ways to mime words and explain especially difficult words before the class could be helpful to the teacher. A broad smile and lively attitude too cannot be underestimated. The teacher's lively attitude and broad smile in the second lesson was contagious. It engaged the students and made them participate more in class. I also observed that, the use of mimes and demonstrations also help elicit vocabulary more effectively from students.
