The content of this lesson was informative because it helps outline the qualities of teachers and learners one would expect to experience when teaching English. I found the descriptions of the teachers and learners very useful and insightful. As a teacher for three years, I did not always consider the many roles I played while teaching. It definitely helps to have an idea when you need to perform a particular role based on the needs of your students. The breakdown of the motivating factors behind the different age groups was very helpful as well. It allows you to think about your approach and lessons with different age groups, based on how they typically learn. Of course everyone is different so different strategies may be needed since not every student in each group will behave and learn the same.
