This unit gives a methodology to be used when creating a lesson and insists on the importance of planning a lesson. Of course the plan should not be too rigid and should give us the possibility to remain flexible and adapt to students needs. It explains why this planning is important, how it should be written, and what should be included (learners objectives, teachers aims, language points, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date and time, teachers and observers name). We are given one example about a lesson planning which objective is to master can and can?t. It is also very important to monitor each lesson in order to evaluate what has functioned well and what has not : it is a way to improve the teacher?s skills.
