Unit 2 explores on the theories of learning/acquisition as well as the elements of teaching such as classroom arrangement, syllabus design and characteristics of young learners for this purpose. This unit shows the complexity of existing literature and the different approaches to teaching/learning. It is to considered that, as stated in the unit, sometimes an eclectic approach seems to be needed. But again, this might seem confusing for both learners and teachers. However, a teacher is a sort of magician: he needs to have as many tricks as possible. The importance behind these unit relies on the fact that every single teacher needs to build his/her own theory of teaching/learning, which can vary over time, and most of the time, needs to be adapted to the specific school or center we are working for.
